ABDULLAH & BROS one of the Oldest & Leading Business Houses dealing in builder's hardware, exclusive brass door & window fittings ,wardrobe handles, designer curtain brackets, kitchen cabinet & other allied accessories was established by late Mulla Gulamallly Akberally Broachwala with the blessings & permission of our 51st Dai Ul Mutlaq Syedna Taher Saifuddin Saheb (r.a) in hijri 1351 in Chennai.

Mulla Gulamally Akberally Broachwala had come down to Madras from Sidhpur, a small town in north Gujarat near Mehsana, in the year 1928 for better prospects and was employed at M/s Abdul Hussain Jeevaji & Co then located at linghi chetty street in Madras.

He resigned in the year 1931 and started his own firm Abdullah & Bros. Initially he stared as established importers in hardware & paints imported from England. He was also instrumental in forming the Madras Hardware (sundry) and Paint Merchants Association established in the year 1943 thus becoming one of the founder members of the association.

In 1960 he passed away leaving behind him a lot of goodwill earned from his customers and businessmen and a well established firm.

The challenge and responsibility of running the well established business was taken up by his elder Son Sheikh Ismail Mulla Gulamally Broachwala, ably supported by his younger brothers Mulla Abdullah Mulla Gulamally and Abbas Mulla Gulamally who diverted their business as exclusive dealers in hardware door and window fittings ,carpentry, blacksmith & garage tools .

A branch office was opened in Adyar and the responsibility of the branch was given to Mulla Abdullah gulamally.in the nineties grandsons of mulla gulamally akberally joined their family business and have diversified by opening two associate firms 
(1) Broachwala Enterprises .
(2) I S M Business Associates.

We the children and grand children of late Mulla Gulamaaly Akberally pray that almighty Allah with the benediction of his holiness Dr Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (T.U.S) to give us the courage & strength to carry forward this business for many many more years to come and also to maintain his motto of "Be Sincere to the Customers" in this our "Platinum Jubilee Year"
